Reisdetails van Thailand 2014
Omschrijving:
Hallo lieve mensen,
Eindelijk een eerste verslagje van onze "overwintering" in Thailand. Eigenlijk waren we van plan om in Vietnam te beginnen en zo via Cambodja af te zakken naar Thailand, maar vanwege de miniscus/knie van Wilhelmientje doen we het kalm aan en zijn rechtstreeks naar Koh Chang gereisd.
Om lekker relaxed van start te kunnen gaan hebben we op ons dooie gemak in het IBIS Schiphol hotel overnacht. Met twee krukken lopen is vervelend, maar het heeft ook verrassend veel voordelen. In Ibis kregen we meteen al een kamer gelijkvloers vlakbij de balie-bar-toko zodat alles gemqakkelijk bereikbaar was. Normaliter word je ergens op de 3e of -tigste verdieping neergepoot.
De volgende dag op Schiphol inchecken was ook anders dan anders. Gebruik makend van de rolstoelen die daar klaar staan zoals de karretjes voor de koffers, kwamen we terecht in een speciale behandelingsprocedure die er op neerkomt dat je gezien wordt als een VIP of business-class passenger. Er kwam speciaal een KLM
vertegenwoordigster, die ook weer een rolstoel bij haar had, en speciaal opgeroepen was om Wilhelmientje tot in het vliegtuig te begeleiden! En dit alles VOORDAT de business class people aan boord mochten gaan! We waren de eersten aan boord!
We hadden zelf online onze plaatsen uitgekozen, maar eenmaal aan boord kwam voor ons een veel betere optie vrij, die onmiddellijk door bijna iedereen geclaimed werd.
Ik hoefde maar te wijzen op de stokken en memoreren dat mijn vrouw met haar linkerbeen beslist helemaal gestrekt moest reizen, en bingo! We hadden helemaal vooraan, aan het linker gangpad, twee hele mooie plaatsen met verrassends veel beenruimte!
Het thuisfront had inmiddels bedacht dat we bij aankomst in Bangkok toch ook wel een rolstoel nodig zouden hebben, dus een paar telefoontjes hebben dat geregeld. Zelf hadden we ook op een gegeven moment op aanraden van het thuisfront actie op dit terrein ondernomen, niet wetende dat dat al automatisch door het luchthavenpersoneel op Schiphol geregeld was. Wel een chique gezicht hoor, als je in Bangkok aankomt en voordat je het vliegtuig helemaal uit bent, ziet dat er drie rolstoelen voor je klaar staan!
In Bangkok hebben we niet moeilijk gedaan, we zijn gewoon in een taxi gestapt en onze eindbestemming op Koh Chang opgegeven, een rit van 6 uur, maar in Thailand is dat geen probleem. Big money!!!! noemen ze dat. En dan hebben we het over een rit die uiteindelijk 7 uur duurde, en omgerekend iets van 88 euro kostte! Kom daar in Nederland maar eens om, toch?
Bij onze bestemming bleek niet alleen dat er nog cottages vrij waren, maar zelfs die ene, waar we de eerste keer, en daarna bij gelegenheid ook nog vaker verbleven, nog vrij was. Heerlijk!
Meestal huren we meteen een scootertje om ons vrijelijk over het eiland te kunnen begeven, maar ja, de eerste paar weken is het rust geblazen, dus hebben we direct een abonnement genomen bij het chique Mercure hotel fitness centrum (3000 THB per maand per persoon), zodat we dagelijks aan de swimming pool liggen en ons laten verwennen.
Bij aankomst bij ons favoriete resort (Bailan View Resort) bleek er tot onze verrassing nog redelijk veel cottages vrij te zijn, ook die ene die we de allereerste keer hadden en onze absolute voorkeur heeft: kamer met veel ramen, airco en ventilator, badkamer met Europees toilet en warm water, etc.
De dame die dat beheert op dit moment hield een kaartje op waarop stond dat die kamer 1200 THB (= 26,40 euro) per nacht moest kosten. We hebben haar snel uit die droom geholpen door haar te verzekeren dat we vrienden waren van de "Big Boss", dat we ooit zijn eerste huurders waren, en dat we niet voor 1 nachtje kwamen maar om te
beginnen met een volle maand, dus altijd een forse korting kregen. We

Bij aankomst bij ons favoriete resort (Bailan View Resort) bleek er tot onze verrassing nog redelijk veel cottages vrij te zijn, ook die ene die we de allereerste keer hadden en onze absolute voorkeur heeft: kamer met veel ramen, airco en ventilator, badkamer met Europees toilet en warm water, etc.
De dame die dat beheert op dit moment hield een kaartje op waarop stond dat die kamer 1200 THB (= 26,40 euro) per nacht moest kosten. We hebben haar snel uit die droom geholpen door haar te verzekeren dat we vrienden waren van de "Big Boss", dat we ooit zijn eerste huurders waren, en dat we niet voor 1 nachtje kwamen maar om te
beginnen met een volle maand, dus altijd een forse korting kregen. We

Reisdetails van Thailand 2014
Omschrijving:
Hallo lieve mensen,
Eindelijk een eerste verslagje van onze "overwintering" in Thailand. Eigenlijk waren we van plan om in Vietnam te beginnen en zo via Cambodja af te zakken naar Thailand, maar vanwege de miniscus/knie van Wilhelmientje doen we het kalm aan en zijn rechtstreeks naar Koh Chang gereisd.
Om lekker relaxed van start te kunnen gaan hebben we op ons dooie gemak in het IBIS Schiphol hotel overnacht. Met twee krukken lopen is vervelend, maar het heeft ook verrassend veel voordelen. In Ibis kregen we meteen al een kamer gelijkvloers vlakbij de balie-bar-toko zodat alles gemqakkelijk bereikbaar was. Normaliter word je ergens op de 3e of -tigste verdieping neergepoot.
De volgende dag op Schiphol inchecken was ook anders dan anders. Gebruik makend van de rolstoelen die daar klaar staan zoals de karretjes voor de koffers, kwamen we terecht in een speciale behandelingsprocedure die er op neerkomt dat je gezien wordt als een VIP of business-class passenger. Er kwam speciaal een KLM
vertegenwoordigster, die ook weer een rolstoel bij haar had, en speciaal opgeroepen was om Wilhelmientje tot in het vliegtuig te begeleiden! En dit alles VOORDAT de business class people aan boord mochten gaan! We waren de eersten aan boord!
We hadden zelf online onze plaatsen uitgekozen, maar eenmaal aan boord kwam voor ons een veel betere optie vrij, die onmiddellijk door bijna iedereen geclaimed werd.
Ik hoefde maar te wijzen op de stokken en memoreren dat mijn vrouw met haar linkerbeen beslist helemaal gestrekt moest reizen, en bingo! We hadden helemaal vooraan, aan het linker gangpad, twee hele mooie plaatsen met verrassends veel beenruimte!
Het thuisfront had inmiddels bedacht dat we bij aankomst in Bangkok toch ook wel een rolstoel nodig zouden hebben, dus een paar telefoontjes hebben dat geregeld. Zelf hadden we ook op een gegeven moment op aanraden van het thuisfront actie op dit terrein ondernomen, niet wetende dat dat al automatisch door het luchthavenpersoneel op Schiphol geregeld was. Wel een chique gezicht hoor, als je in Bangkok aankomt en voordat je het vliegtuig helemaal uit bent, ziet dat er drie rolstoelen voor je klaar staan!
In Bangkok hebben we niet moeilijk gedaan, we zijn gewoon in een taxi gestapt en onze eindbestemming op Koh Chang opgegeven, een rit van 6 uur, maar in Thailand is dat geen probleem. Big money!!!! noemen ze dat. En dan hebben we het over een rit die uiteindelijk 7 uur duurde, en omgerekend iets van 88 euro kostte! Kom daar in Nederland maar eens om, toch?

Bij aankomst bij ons favoriete resort (Bailan View Resort) bleek er tot onze verrassing nog redelijk veel cottages vrij te zijn, ook die ene die we de allereerste keer hadden en onze absolute voorkeur heeft: kamer met veel ramen, airco en ventilator, badkamer met Europees toilet en warm water, etc.
De dame die dat beheert op dit moment hield een kaartje op waarop stond dat die kamer 1200 THB (= 26,40 euro) per nacht moest kosten. We hebben haar snel uit die droom geholpen door haar te verzekeren dat we vrienden waren van de "Big Boss", dat we ooit zijn eerste huurders waren, en dat we niet voor 1 nachtje kwamen maar om te
beginnen met een volle maand, dus altijd een forse korting kregen. We

Reisdetails van Thailand 2014
Omschrijving:
Hallo lieve mensen,
Eindelijk een eerste verslagje van onze "overwintering" in Thailand. Eigenlijk waren we van plan om in Vietnam te beginnen en zo via Cambodja af te zakken naar Thailand, maar vanwege de miniscus/knie van Wilhelmientje doen we het kalm aan en zijn rechtstreeks naar Koh Chang gereisd.
Om lekker relaxed van start te kunnen gaan hebben we op ons dooie gemak in het IBIS Schiphol hotel overnacht. Met twee krukken lopen is vervelend, maar het heeft ook verrassend veel voordelen. In Ibis kregen we meteen al een kamer gelijkvloers vlakbij de balie-bar-toko zodat alles gemqakkelijk bereikbaar was. Normaliter word je ergens op de 3e of -tigste verdieping neergepoot.
De volgende dag op Schiphol inchecken was ook anders dan anders. Gebruik makend van de rolstoelen die daar klaar staan zoals de karretjes voor de koffers, kwamen we terecht in een speciale behandelingsprocedure die er op neerkomt dat je gezien wordt als een VIP of business-class passenger. Er kwam speciaal een KLM
vertegenwoordigster, die ook weer een rolstoel bij haar had, en speciaal opgeroepen was om Wilhelmientje tot in het vliegtuig te begeleiden! En dit alles VOORDAT de business class people aan boord mochten gaan! We waren de eersten aan boord!
We hadden zelf online onze plaatsen uitgekozen, maar eenmaal aan boord kwam voor ons een veel betere optie vrij, die onmiddellijk door bijna iedereen geclaimed werd.
Ik hoefde maar te wijzen op de stokken en memoreren dat mijn vrouw met haar linkerbeen beslist helemaal gestrekt moest reizen, en bingo! We hadden helemaal vooraan, aan het linker gangpad, twee hele mooie plaatsen met verrassends veel beenruimte!
Het thuisfront had inmiddels bedacht dat we bij aankomst in Bangkok toch ook wel een rolstoel nodig zouden hebben, dus een paar telefoontjes hebben dat geregeld. Zelf hadden we ook op een gegeven moment op aanraden van het thuisfront actie op dit terrein ondernomen, niet wetende dat dat al automatisch door het luchthavenpersoneel op Schiphol geregeld was. Wel een chique gezicht hoor, als je in Bangkok aankomt en voordat je het vliegtuig helemaal uit bent, ziet dat er drie rolstoelen voor je klaar staan!
In Bangkok hebben we niet moeilijk gedaan, we zijn gewoon in een taxi gestapt en onze eindbestemming op Koh Chang opgegeven, een rit van 6 uur, maar in Thailand is dat geen probleem. Big money!!!! noemen ze dat. En dan hebben we het over een rit die uiteindelijk 7 uur duurde, en omgerekend iets van 88 euro kostte! Kom daar in Nederland maar eens om, toch?

Reisdetails van Thailand 2014
Omschrijving:
Hallo lieve mensen,
Eindelijk een eerste verslagje van onze "overwintering" in Thailand. Eigenlijk waren we van plan om in Vietnam te beginnen en zo via Cambodja af te zakken naar Thailand, maar vanwege de miniscus/knie van Wilhelmientje doen we het kalm aan en zijn rechtstreeks naar Koh Chang gereisd.
Om lekker relaxed van start te kunnen gaan hebben we op ons dooie gemak in het IBIS Schiphol hotel overnacht. Met twee krukken lopen is vervelend, maar het heeft ook verrassend veel voordelen. In Ibis kregen we meteen al een kamer gelijkvloers vlakbij de balie-bar-toko zodat alles gemqakkelijk bereikbaar was. Normaliter word je ergens op de 3e of -tigste verdieping neergepoot.
De volgende dag op Schiphol inchecken was ook anders dan anders. Gebruik makend van de rolstoelen die daar klaar staan zoals de karretjes voor de koffers, kwamen we terecht in een speciale behandelingsprocedure die er op neerkomt dat je gezien wordt als een VIP of business-class passenger. Er kwam speciaal een KLM
vertegenwoordigster, die ook weer een rolstoel bij haar had, en speciaal opgeroepen was om Wilhelmientje tot in het vliegtuig te begeleiden! En dit alles VOORDAT de business class people aan boord mochten gaan! We waren de eersten aan boord!
We hadden zelf online onze plaatsen uitgekozen, maar eenmaal aan boord kwam voor ons een veel betere optie vrij, die onmiddellijk door bijna iedereen geclaimed werd.
Ik hoefde maar te wijzen op de stokken en memoreren dat mijn vrouw met haar linkerbeen beslist helemaal gestrekt moest reizen, en bingo! We hadden helemaal vooraan, aan het linker gangpad, twee hele mooie plaatsen met verrassends veel beenruimte!
Het thuisfront had inmiddels bedacht dat we bij aankomst in Bangkok toch ook wel een rolstoel nodig zouden hebben, dus een paar telefoontjes hebben dat geregeld. Zelf hadden we ook op een gegeven moment op aanraden van het thuisfront actie op dit terrein ondernomen, niet wetende dat dat al automatisch door het luchthavenpersoneel op Schiphol geregeld was. Wel een chique gezicht hoor, als je in Bangkok aankomt en voordat je het vliegtuig helemaal uit bent, ziet dat er drie rolstoelen voor je klaar staan!
In Bangkok hebben we niet moeilijk gedaan, we zijn gewoon in een taxi gestapt en onze eindbestemming op Koh Chang opgegeven, een rit van 6 uur, maar in Thailand is dat geen probleem. Big money!!!! noemen ze dat. En dan hebben we het over een rit die uiteindelijk 7 uur duurde, en omgerekend iets van 88 euro kostte! Kom daar in Nederland maar eens om, toch?
Bij onze bestemming bleek niet alleen dat er nog cottages vrij waren, maar zelfs die ene, waar we de eerste keer, en daarna bij gelegenheid ook nog vaker verbleven, nog vrij was. Heerlijk!
Meestal huren we meteen een scootertje om ons vrijelijk over het eiland te kunnen begeven, maar ja, de eerste paar weken is het rust geblazen, dus hebben we direct een abonnement genomen bij het chique Mercure hotel fitness centrum (3000 THB per maand per persoon), zodat we dagelijks aan de swimming pool liggen en ons laten verwennen.
Bij aankomst bij ons favoriete resort (Bailan View Resort) bleek er tot onze verrassing nog redelijk veel cottages vrij te zijn, ook die ene die we de allereerste keer hadden en onze absolute voorkeur heeft: kamer met veel ramen, airco en ventilator, badkamer met Europees toilet en warm water, etc.
De dame die dat beheert op dit moment hield een kaartje op waarop stond dat die kamer 1200 THB (= 26,40 euro) per nacht moest kosten. We hebben haar snel uit die droom geholpen door haar te verzekeren dat we vrienden waren van de "Big Boss", dat we ooit zijn eerste huurders waren, en dat we niet voor 1 nachtje kwamen maar om te
beginnen met een volle maand, dus altijd een forse korting kregen. We

[description] => Hallo lieve mensen,
Eindelijk een eerste verslagje van onze "overwintering" in Thailand. Eigenlijk waren we van plan om in Vietnam te beginnen en zo via Cambodja af te zakken naar Thailand, maar vanwege de miniscus/knie van Wilhelmientje doen we het kalm aan en zijn rechtstreeks naar Koh Chang gereisd.
Om lekker relaxed van start te kunnen gaan hebben we op ons dooie gemak in het IBIS Schiphol hotel overnacht. Met twee krukken lopen is vervelend, maar het heeft ook verrassend veel voordelen. In Ibis kregen we meteen al een kamer gelijkvloers vlakbij de balie-bar-toko zodat alles gemqakkelijk bereikbaar was. Normaliter word je ergens op de 3e of -tigste verdieping neergepoot.
De volgende dag op Schiphol inchecken was ook anders dan anders. Gebruik makend van de rolstoelen die daar klaar staan zoals de karretjes voor de koffers, kwamen we terecht in een speciale behandelingsprocedure die er op neerkomt dat je gezien wordt als een VIP of business-class passenger. Er kwam speciaal een KLM
vertegenwoordigster, die ook weer een rolstoel bij haar had, en speciaal opgeroepen was om Wilhelmientje tot in het vliegtuig te begeleiden! En dit alles VOORDAT de business class people aan boord mochten gaan! We waren de eersten aan boord!
We hadden zelf online onze plaatsen uitgekozen, maar eenmaal aan boord kwam voor ons een veel betere optie vrij, die onmiddellijk door bijna iedereen geclaimed werd.
Ik hoefde maar te wijzen op de stokken en memoreren dat mijn vrouw met haar linkerbeen beslist helemaal gestrekt moest reizen, en bingo! We hadden helemaal vooraan, aan het linker gangpad, twee hele mooie plaatsen met verrassends veel beenruimte!
Het thuisfront had inmiddels bedacht dat we bij aankomst in Bangkok toch ook wel een rolstoel nodig zouden hebben, dus een paar telefoontjes hebben dat geregeld. Zelf hadden we ook op een gegeven moment op aanraden van het thuisfront actie op dit terrein ondernomen, niet wetende dat dat al automatisch door het luchthavenpersoneel op Schiphol geregeld was. Wel een chique gezicht hoor, als je in Bangkok aankomt en voordat je het vliegtuig helemaal uit bent, ziet dat er drie rolstoelen voor je klaar staan!
In Bangkok hebben we niet moeilijk gedaan, we zijn gewoon in een taxi gestapt en onze eindbestemming op Koh Chang opgegeven, een rit van 6 uur, maar in Thailand is dat geen probleem. Big money!!!! noemen ze dat. En dan hebben we het over een rit die uiteindelijk 7 uur duurde, en omgerekend iets van 88 euro kostte! Kom daar in Nederland maar eens om, toch?
Bij onze bestemming bleek niet alleen dat er nog cottages vrij waren, maar zelfs die ene, waar we de eerste keer, en daarna bij gelegenheid ook nog vaker verbleven, nog vrij was. Heerlijk!
Meestal huren we meteen een scootertje om ons vrijelijk over het eiland te kunnen begeven, maar ja, de eerste paar weken is het rust geblazen, dus hebben we direct een abonnement genomen bij het chique Mercure hotel fitness centrum (3000 THB per maand per persoon), zodat we dagelijks aan de swimming pool liggen en ons laten verwennen.
Bij aankomst bij ons favoriete resort (Bailan View Resort) bleek er tot onze verrassing nog redelijk veel cottages vrij te zijn, ook die ene die we de allereerste keer hadden en onze absolute voorkeur heeft: kamer met veel ramen, airco en ventilator, badkamer met Europees toilet en warm water, etc.
De dame die dat beheert op dit moment hield een kaartje op waarop stond dat die kamer 1200 THB (= 26,40 euro) per nacht moest kosten. We hebben haar snel uit die droom geholpen door haar te verzekeren dat we vrienden waren van de "Big Boss", dat we ooit zijn eerste huurders waren, en dat we niet voor 1 nachtje kwamen maar om te
beginnen met een volle maand, dus altijd een forse korting kregen. We
